If your ears ring, answer them.

not in my system but I sure made it worse on myself lol Some guy from school damaged my hearing in his civic with the 15" in the hatch. Made my ears ring. Either that did it or being beside a speaker in the front row at a concert could'a did it lol

Back Alley in calgary made my ears ring for a few days, it was so far into distortion that even after 12ish beers I could clearly hear it distorting, I mean it was harsh, if I wasn't drunk I woulda gotten outa there. It scared the livin hell outa me.

Does the after effects of "wow and fludder" from the 8 track count?

But seriously, like some others have made mention of,I too have a nonstop ringing in my ears...sometimes not too bad...but every once in a while it gets almost unbearable..

I too sleep with fan and/or radio on...ringing drives me nuts otherwise..

And yes,I do feel that all the years of heavy metal music in my car and in head phones has done some damage to my ears...that and years of working in a garage with air tools...

According to my wife I went deaf shortly after we got married.

I've been listening to automotive stereos WAY too loud for 28 years. I've never had my hearing tested but I know it's not as good as it used to be.

it's not the bass that ruins your hearing, it's the highs. Low frequencys don't ruin your hearing it's the high frequencys. It seems like the bass is the cause, because it rattles your head, but if u have head rattling bass, then you need the highs to be able to keep up, which is what actually does the damage to your ears.

Someone correct me if im wrong, i think that higher frequencies will yield a greater damage to hearing when compared to lower frequencies. But when your daily driver hits 100db's with your mids and highs on a meter and your subs hit 145db's.. the bass is going to hurt your hearing alot more..
