We did a RSX up here in Courtenay last year that was SQ based but turned out to be just stupid for SPL as well. The customer actually ended up going through a couple of amplifiers as the shockwave from the subs was breaking caps off of the amps circuit boards. There is lots that can be done in this car dude.

haha hey rob , its me , the guy that never makes up his mind about anything lol. yeah i remeber you telling me about that rsx. 2 bad she wrote it off :( . yeah i know there is allot to do but i just dont know how to take best advantage of wat i got in the space of the car. sq i was thinkin of just pluggin the ports and spl have it tuned to around 45 hz with about2x 8 inch flanged ports, 100sqin of port area , not sure wat the peak freq is yet but im sure ill find out sooner or later.

if you want to do SPL and you are serious enough to buy Z1s then I would lead towards more of an SPL sub rather than the XXX which is not an SPL sub or a ma audio sub which just isn't great quality. The RE MT is ok but not the best for street class I personally would do a bit more research about the subs people use in street for SPL before you buy...most use DD 95s or 99s or Kicker SoloXs

one kicker l7 12" will do 145's all day long, how do i know, because there is 4 or 5 of them running around kelowna, and not 1 failed l7 12" in any of them. in a hatchback your set

i have thought of ether 1 or 2 solo x's , when i said the re xxx , i was refering to the "new xxx" , there are some picture of it around on termpro and sounddomain.the 9512s havent left my mind dont worrie about that ,
I have a total area of 40x23x15 to work with, and then the spare tire well that ill glass that should yeild around 2 cubic feet. i can use most of that space for the sub box , but then the subs and ports would haveto face up , thus no crx box, i dont have a meter so its hard to tell wat would be loudest. i have also thought about the l7s , if i can find a place where i can get em cheap then i might just haveto role with em, if i blow one , lol , just buy another
thanks for the replies guys

what he said x2

actually, not so long ago, the "street A" WR was hold by a setup with a pair of 10L7 and a pair of Z1 IIRC. personnaly, I did the score shown in my sig in an impreza sedan, with stock alternator and 2 batteries, a redtop 7525 and an motomaster eliminator

I measured an RSZ at 134dB today but it only had one midlevel 12 on about 300 watts. IMO that's pretty decent.
