Aside from mic mounted on wrong side and not in proper placement, with door open.... it looks like the vehicle has a extra large instrument cluster cover. Looks like there's barely enough space to fit the mic between it and the windshield.

Looks like buddy is just doing some testing.... with the door open and mic on his side.
