Our experience...0.02
Approaching SBN 07 , we were testing with our (2) APX 10's with 200.1's while waiting for our (2) APX 15's and (2) 5000.1's. While testing with the apx 10's, 1 of the surrounds ripped at the seam while the other one was fine. With the equptment coming late, the 15's and 5000s were set up down in Florida. After working them in a bit, the team tried to burp the 15s. The cones seperated from the formers. The 10's had to go back in for Drag qualifying the next day. With 1 sub being duct taped and the other still in good condition, the qualifying showed that the duct taped one wasnt moving but the other seemed to be holding up quite well. The team decided to Bass Race and Bass Box them out of their misery and start new on Elimination day.
Last week in Niagara Falls, we blew a 5000.1.
We believe that Atomic is a good product however there is always a chance in any brand that you buy of possible defectiveness. The other issue that we are finding is that with testing new installs, we are putting the equipment at risk. New designs are practically free airing them. Unfortunately with June 10th and 17th coming up, we will not be using Atomic but it is still one of out top brands for competition.
