which american manufacturer builds those amps for soundstream or are they assembled in the states but the boards and whatnot are insterted offshore, or are they trying to build their own amps again, if the later is the case, then good for them
This amp is built by soundstream all of it! We had one but we left the BMW running. King Dynasty didn't want to kill his battery . According to Soundstream between 13.5 and 14.4 you are looking at 4082 to 4490. All I can tell you is that between making Team shadows 15 phoenix wanting to leave their baskets and Norms RE 12"s there was no problem making them pound with the gain at zero at 40HZ. We turned it up just a third and the phoenix subs started to smell nice and the re's jummped like they were sitting on a hot plate. At 16 volts you are looking at 6500 rms 7000 peak.
We only had it at 2 ohms as we only have 2 - 4 ohm coils. it was at 1/2 power and at 14.4v(car wasnt running) i cant imagine the power at 1 ohm and at 16 volt. most of you that have heard our car play, it does not rattle. and it is quite solid. We were able to make every piece of metal on the car rattle. my car never rattled ever. i guess it does now. this is one powerful amp. we went up 3 db instantly with only half power.

crown would probably cush it. just the shear size of the crown, is crazy... but then again who knows. apparently the pioneer 5000's rule the earth, and there 1/3 the size of the soundstream! be a good test for street vehicles, and for the SS/extreme's to test out!
