Batteries
#1
Well I'm wondering what type of battery I should get. I am going to be running 2 Memphis Mojo 2000D's at 1 ohm. I want to know what exactly to look for in a battery.
Say for example, you have 1 battery with 1000 CCA is that the same as any other battery with 1000 CCA?
You can get an Eliminator battery with a badass warranty and 1000 CCA for 150 bux, or a hawker 1700 for 3x the price and only 875 CCA.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig G

Ok thanks, I will need to stick with just one battery though.
For your setup was the car on/off? Mine will be off.
Also what kind of voltage drops were you getting? Impedence Mojo's were running at and do u have any idea to the power they produce?
Thanks,
Craig G

A good Optima, Orbital, or other gel battery designed for stereo/high end purposes, will hold a given load about a volt higher than an equivalent lead acid battery.
So, if you snap, say, a 250 amp load on a normal battery, it'll hold the load around 10.2-10.6 volts (when it's new, and at room temperature). The gel battery will hold the same load around 11.2-11.6 volts.
