big bass setup
I know it’s a big question and you can’t answer it! but can you lean me in the right direction.
I need help on a sub I want it to be as compact as possible I’m not to fussed about sound quality all I want is big bass that hits hard.
What do you think is best?
a solo x 18” with up to 3600w rms I know under powering can be bad.
a solo x 12”
3x solo l7 15”
4x solo l7 12”
2x mtx thunder 9500 15”
2x mtx thunder 9500 12”
a jlaudio w7 13.5”
I have no idea I need advice from people that have had experience or know how they go. I would tip 3 solo l7 15” to be one of the loudest setups
I will have anywhere up to 3600w rms to play with.
The subs are going in boxes but don’t worry about where.
Thanks

i think you are *** backwards in what you say. it doesn't make sense because all of what you mentioned will require huge boxes! depending on the car the only way you could do any of that would be in a sealed box if you want compact and we all know if you want crazy loud you go ported. ported will be just too big. so what do you want, loud or space?? i mean, look at some of the guys on the board here, hitting 150DB with 2 10s or 12's. it's ALL about the box and solid boxes more often then not take up a lot of space especially when dealing with 3 15's like you want.

Well to say it, it’s not going to be a drag sub I know it well be extremely heavy but I want it for my home theater setup and some other applications too, like when watching a movie and something explodes on my 2 12” subs its disappointing because it’s not that realistic and you don’t feel it as much. Also I may slap it in my car just to see what it puts out at a db drag for curiosity.
As I said it’s very hard to answer the loudness depends on placement…..etc…. but over all what will be the best way to go I like the 18solo x didn’t the 18solo x work well in a 6cu box I wouldn’t go much bigger
P.S. I also want the wow factor because when you mention those subs around here people become your best friend.

The 4 Kicker 12" L7's will be hella loud, thats what I was looking at for my next upgrade.
3 15" L7's will be too hard to wire up, you will need 3 amps, go 4 or 2 subs.
And I dont know how good you think W7's are, but 1 is not even close to any of those other combinations. 4 W7's might be as loud as the 3 15" L7's... (If both in decent boxes)
