i noticed that in the crxs ,the sub boxes are always square , except for vos tubes , and the ports fire directly backwards, would you not lose spl via standing waves inside the box??what would happen if you slanted the back of the enclosure and fired the ports slightly up at an angle, the shape of the box should eliminate some standing waves, and therefore get louder right??

 

yeah, i noticed, but i havent seen any done like that, i cant be the first guy to think of it so maybe it doesnt make a difference
