building a box, need advise on ports
i'm doing a generic ported box for 2 rockford fosgate hx2 15's (1999 model)
the box is about 5.50 cubic feet and I am going to be using 2 4"ports 7.5" long.how far away can i place the port from the sub & ive heard that having a bend or elbow is important to reduce port noise is this a myth???
is there anything you guys would change
cheers

Preferably fire the ports the same way as the subs...if at all possible anyways. Firing down isn't necessarily a good thing. I like firing down in jeeps, but in a colorado I would fire up or straight at the back of the seat. Up if possible.
