i suppose it could be done locally but in the large scheme you'd get beaten pretty badly in spl atleast.

i think there should be more of an spl oriented sq class. Where the SPL portion is scored up to 150 db

You might consider this to be silly, but lots of cars have a seperate SPL system in them.

Like with many other things, when it comes to their own turf, you're SOL... in general yes, it would be possible, but going up against purpose built SPL vehicles, you'd have no chance... now if you;re asking in general can an SQ system get loud, then the answer is yes...

it all depends on what you want out of the system...

exactly, car audio in general is full of comprimises.
