I've competed here and there, been to a few events in each of the past couple of seasons.
My word of advice is to go and ask as many questions as you can, and don't be a dick.
The majority of the people will be more than willing to help out.
There are a few ****** in this "sport" however, you will find out who they are, don't let them discourage you.
But generally the people who you will talk to on here are usually the good ones.

honestly, don't be shy about starting out. at first, you might not get the "big" numbers, but you'll go through a steep learning curve about car audio, then you will quickly get into the sport and before long you'll be on level playing ground with everyone!!!
the sport really needs some fresh meat, i mean new blood, to keep it going...don't be afraid to come out and compete...you gotta start somewhere!
