Hi,

humm, can you see it? here it's blank

dar0088 07-01-2010 11:40 PM

Link no good.

dar0088 07-02-2010 12:00 AM

Ok i watched the video but i dont understand what you are trying to show. You got 4700 watts at around 1ohm and was that from each amp. That power should be from 1 battery i hope please explain im not bashing just not understanding. The score was descent.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 12:04 AM

fixed that thing

Soundigital 07-02-2010 12:05 AM

I just burped the thing at the volume I use to work on the car...

bart pyle 07-02-2010 12:34 AM

thats pretty efficient considering the freq is so low....what will you do to get up to cars resonant freq Murilo?

dar0088 07-02-2010 12:36 AM

Ok so that was 4700 from each amp at low volume or strapped pair rising to over 1ohm. Please fill us in and like i said that is a nice number if its 4700 or 9400 total. p.s Bart update your sig bro you deserve it.

That is 4700W total, the clamp is on both + wires and the voltmeter is on one amp.

Yes, I'm impressed that this is 61Hz.

I'll bring the back wall 10-12" further front, if I leave the way it is now the loudest will be 57-60Hz.

dar0088 07-02-2010 12:48 AM

Cool very impressive thanks for clearing that up and another quick question what does each amp see if your rise is just over 1ohm.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 12:49 AM

What do you mean? Power?

dar0088 07-02-2010 12:51 AM

Ok lets start over the amps are strapped from you power test i see over 1ohm after rise so what does each board see for impedance. Do your amps strapp like regular amps do. Because if thats the case each of your amps would see .5-.6 ohms

bart pyle 07-02-2010 12:52 AM

or you could raise that floor level loading wall and add more cone area.....that would take more volume and raise freq no?

Soundigital 07-02-2010 12:56 AM

The amps are not strapped, each is starting at 0.5 ohm. On the video each amp is producing 60V and 35A (I clamped both amps so 70A total).

dar0088 07-02-2010 12:59 AM

Thank you i understand what you are saying now i was confused because i heard those amps strapp diffrent wich made me think the amps were strapped. So each amp is at 2 ohms after rise. That is a real strong score getting the tunning up should gain you.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 01:01 AM

Yes they strap in parallel, so if you put a 0.5 ohm load for both, each will see 1 ohm.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:06 AM

Murilo whats the lowest impedance 1 amp can see after rise without going into protection.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 01:11 AM

I suggest 0.5 ohm starting for street, I have a couple guys running SD8000s at 0.33 but then depend on the box.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:12 AM

Thats the lowest you can run them but im talking after rise what is the lowest impedance the amp can see. We can run our amps down to .175 starting but the 500.1 must see .9 after rise not to go into protection. The 1100.1 i have heard will work at .675 after rise but i dont suggest people run it that low. The best results we have had was wirring the amp to .25 rising to .8 but that was on 5 cheap 12v and the amp made 11600 rms.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 01:16 AM

1 ohm after rise

dB Don 07-02-2010 01:25 AM

Why can't we all just run daily loads and enjoy? whats wrong with 4 ohm after rise. ;)

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:26 AM

Thats cool just trying to gain knowledge about other peoples product im not making comparison. Thanks for all your answers and good luck with your build i hope to have test results on 16v from our 1100.1 we are hoping it is in the 15-16 k range on 16v because in theory we should get 10% more output per 1volt input.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:30 AM

Don you need to go back to Ab amplifiers if you want to make power at that load. lol Trust me i still think USamps 2000x was the best amp ever built or zapco 9.0. Back in the day i clamped 128v and 36amps at 14.80v from 1 us2000x starting at 1.8 rising to 3.4 if im not mistaken. The other good thing was the way it worked with my Strokers it was a match made in heaven the sub had so much more control due to the high dampaning fator compared to these class d amps. Sub with a high BL and amp with a high dampaning factor is such a great combo.

You should, SD12kD on Craig Butlers car = 16500W on fluke meters. Rip Rock team similar power, all rising close to 2 ohms.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:37 AM

Would they see more if amps rise was at 1ohm or do those have to see 2ohm after rise. What people dont understand is the 1100.1 is a hopped up version of a 7k board and is the same as 9k amplifiers we used that rating because we already had a 1000.1 so why come out with a 900.1 amp.

Soundigital 07-02-2010 01:39 AM

They don't have, power is similar, was a choice we all made for the sake of the loudness.

Man I ordered an amp, a small one like a month ago and it still not here. I would love to try a 1100.1 but I want to do a proper test on it with 18 volt first. You all know my shipping address and you know I never stiff anyone on product reviews, its always returned.

Excuse me, how do you know that your amps will make more power than his Stetsom 7k2 at higher impedance load? His amplifiers have around 160V on the power supply, and your amp being a half bridge design would have to have 320V in order to have similar power at 4 ohms, so, what is the voltage on your amp's power supply?

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:47 AM

This is wack i wish i could have my own account on here again its threades like this and discussions that i miss. The stuff i dont miss is all the bs and bashing. This is my cousins girlfreinds account and she is away in vegas until the 17th so i feel free to use it but really dont want to get her banned from the site. The thing is i have been on this site since 2000 or 2001 and there is good people and people with alot of knowledge to have good chats with. Then there is others that are waste of life who **** it up for everyone.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:50 AM

Murilo i didnt mean Don should go with a Americanbass amp i ment go back to class Ab technology.

Don who did you order an amp from Americanbass. We wont have any 18v models until End of july or early August there is a shortage on parts from the build house so amps are comming in 15 at a time for that amp. We just got a batch of 12v verion the other day and next batch will be 30 half 12v half 18v.

Oh ok, got it wrong, my bad.

dB Don 07-02-2010 01:55 AM

Right from Bob himself. He had the order desk take it too after he got the info. No matter it will get here when it gets here. It was only a tiny amp for me to test.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:57 AM

Damn nice to see some good people veiwing this thread what up RipRock and Dale.

dar0088 07-02-2010 01:59 AM

Thats crazy Don i will chat with him tomorrow and see whats up his wife takes care of the shipping and thats another story. When i order i get my stuff in 2 days have you called him to ask about it. What amp was it if you dont mind me asking.

dar0088 07-02-2010 02:04 AM

Damn we need a good chat room sorry Murilo for jacking your thread with all this talk.

The back wall is the most important thing in this design, it will have 6x 15s and 6 amps soon.

DeadlySones 07-02-2010 05:35 AM

Looking good Murilo. Can't wait to see the numbers with 6 subs/amps. :smilie_da

dar0088 07-02-2010 09:03 AM

That should be real intresting cant wait to see it. What battery setup will you use for 6 amps.
