characteristics of a good spl car

so i have been looking at diffrent cars and trying to figure out which ones would be louder then others. i know crx's and panda's are some of the loudest but what i wanna know is why?

so what about a car in general makes it loud?
interior volume, window shape, door jams, trunks, hatchbacks, wide open areas (such as vans and suvs) ????????

i guess the only really way to know is test a bunch of diffrent cars with the same exact system but thats pretty unrealistic.

any input would be awesome.

its not so much of the car you decide to pick , it rely more on the time you put into the system or into your car. You can see all shape and sizes of vehicle used in Db Drag and they are all made with metal !! So there just find a car and put some time into your build then it will become a good SPL car.

what i want is street, right now i have a extended cab truck but im not sure weather it is any good for spl, because when i threw my old system in it it was 2 db quieter then in my mustang hatch. but then again that was in a prefab box without any testing.

the car does make a difference, for street look for the smallest car with a big enough cargo area

you need space in the cargo area for the box and amplifiers (they nedd to be out of the way so they dont impede airwaves)

look for shortest distance from the sub to the windshield.

the less dash you have the better (depth wise)

Then all you need to do is spend countless hours testing and tuning.
