CSX in a HHR

Correct SPL.
Treo Wayne States,
"With that speaker you
should have a peak note somewhere in the high 60 Hertz area. I would build
the largest enclosure you can fit with very large (150 square inches or
larger) tuned to 50 Hertz. Do not play tones below 50 Hertz with this box."
I guess that would fit with what boombox recommends. Not?

with the CSX woffers you need to be playing a higher note. We used to play 58Hz in our van and even with 1 Visonik V4000 on each woofer we were folding cones and destroying woofers. The CSX is not an excursion woofer, VERY VERY LOUD woofers but you need to give them above 60Hz to keep any kind of longevity.

yes you can burn coils up, but they are not to bad just dont clip them.
I daily drove 2 CSX 18's a few years ago with a Visonik V4000 on them and beleive me you will turn the volume down WAY before those coils heat up.
