DB drag is going to have their world finals this year on October 3-4 in conjunction with USACi and it will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I for one will not even consider going to this as it is a 20 hour drive one way. I just dont see the reson to drive that far anymore.

If this was 5 years ago in the hayday of SPL competitions I would have went but with the turnouts of the last couple of World finals the ambiance of going is totally gone.

 

Agreed I will not be making that drive. It's ok though I will still have fun competing in Canada

It's normal for us out west, if the turn out is so bad, then you should be able to win easily...

 

Well sucks to be you.
But what is the point of spending thousands of dollarsand drive so far to beat no one.
What made this hobby inertesting for me was to meet and compete against THE loudest at one venue (the way it was back in the early 2000's. Very few loud guys are left and few of those will make the trip this year.
If your happy to win finals with no competition the have fun

It certainly sounds like this is the way it's going to go but I'm not quite ready to freak out just yet. For all we know this is only one of two locations in NA and the other is much closer...
