Hello all -- I have had a number of questions regarding what rules/classes will apply at DB Dragraces that I am measuring/holding this year, so this is an overview...

Official DB Dragracing rules (you can read these at www.dbdragracing.com) and classes will be followed as closely as possible.

An Official DB Dragracing measuring system utilizing the new measuring devices will be used by myself to ensure the most accurate scoring possible.

Classes at this years events will be

Street A, B and C
Super Street 1-2, 3-4
Extreme

* if a car does not meet the parameters of the Street or Super Street Classes, it will be placed into Extreme

* if a car has an extra amplifier or woofer than is allowed in a specific class, then said amplifier or woofer must be removed (unfortunately, it is too easy to put a fuse back in or insert a wire)

* Quad coils are forbidden; however, if a competitor reconfigures the driver in question to a dual voice coil, I will allow that car into the Extreme Catagory.

If you have specific questions... please PM me and I will do my best to answer your query.

I would agree.

At every single point event I was at last year, there was a whole 1 car in Super Street 3-4 that would actually be super street this year.

Almost 100% of all cars that are entered into super street are actually street max format cars.

This is a huge class and I implore you to offer it in some form.

Also, as far as the quad ruling goes, the rules state that all quads must be configured as duals anyways. I don't see why you should be bumped to extreme because you are using a quad coil. Sorry for the debate, but I think it's easier to just follow the rules as per written than make an extension as unneccesary as that.

Personally I'd run Street A, B, C, Open Street Max, Open Super Street and Open Extreme

* if a car does not meet the parameters of the Street or Super Street Classes, it will be placed into Extreme

What is the car doesn't fall into the extreme category? (eg. install in front of the door jamb)

* if a car has an extra amplifier or woofer than is allowed in a specific class, then said amplifier or woofer must be removed (unfortunately, it is too easy to put a fuse back in or insert a wire)

I agree with this for subs, but if the amp is not part of the subwoofer system then I don't personally see any reason it should have to be removed.

Quad coils are allowed in dbdrag, just not in street and street max classes.. it is all conductor limited now.. so I dont see why if people are running quads (and have them wired to duals) they are bumped to extreme??
