DBXI vs Type R

I got a buddy wh will be running a 5000w earthquake, wants to know what would be a better choice as a loud daily driver, DBXI 15 or Alpine Type R 15???

i personaly would take DBX over the alpine as i have seen thier parts fail.

DBX definetly over the Type R, plus a Type R on 5000 pffff even on 2500 no way.

5000 watt amp on a type r rated for 750 watts...should sound good for a few seconds!

If you're talking about the Earthquake ph5000d or whatever, it's only rated at 3,000 watts, and you'd probably need some custom coils and hefty electrical to even get that kind of power out of it with one of those subs anyway

3kw for a "loud daily driver" on a 15 inch type r is dumb. daily is xactly what ure gonna get , and they will be numbered.

he is going to be getting two... and i guess is does want to compete a little... not hardcore just kinda local show type things... but mainly just for a loud daily driver
