Earthquake Amps ... any good?

I've heard about some models fireballing at random, but most were being used to drive loads below 2 ohms from my understanding.

I plan to use it at 2 ohms in a daily driver setup.

Are they under/overrated or as stated?

Can they be used to produce good sounding hard hitting bass in daily driver setups as opposed to single tone SPL setups?

How does Earthquake compare to Fosgate in terms of power and sound quality?

earthquake is probably the best bang for the buck when looking at 1500+ watt amps.

get a earthquake D10, those dont usually fire ball. get a red one or a green one. dont get a grey or a black earthquake amp, those are the fire *****.

however, as most big amps, earthquake is over rated.

Thanks for the reply man. I know I can count on a honest opinion from you.

I have had my eye on the PHD5000W (pretty much the same as D3)...

Earthquake PHD5000W

And it also happens to be red despite being a different model.

Any word on how much power a PH5000W will actually deliver at 12.5V or say 14V ?

From tests and reviews I've read, I would say that I'm expecting at LEAST 2100W @ 2ohms @ 12.5V.

I'm hoping the reviews truly aren't that far off from it's 3000W rating.
I guess I won't know until I buy it so I can test it myself.

you would get roughtly 2k out of it at 2 ohm. this amp really shines at 0.7 and down.

So they can handle under 1 ohm without fireballing?
