Question

I woke up this morning and an idea popped in my head...

Has anyone ever tried running a venturi style setup in box before or as the port?

For the those who dont know what a venturi is, its an area where you have a semi-hourglass shaped cylinder. As the air passes through it,the air speed is increased.

What would happen if someone were to do this to increase the air speed coming out of the port?

Just a thought I'd throw out to ya'll...

Err... and what exactly do you think an aeroport is?

(flared ends... narrow middle... hour-glass shape)...

No No.....I mean a Real Venturi....

Have a cone going from about 4 inches at the outer edges down to about maybe 2-2.5 inches in the middle....A true venturi!!

I understand what your getting at and I thought of that too...But what about a real venturi...

I know it would be a biatch make, but do you think it would work?

In a venturi your not only increasing the velocity, you are also decreasing the pressure in the port and the quantity of flow will be equal coming in or out, so why would u do that?
Just put a bigger port.

If you go down to 2-2.5" in the middle then you'd be restricting the air flow

Not a bad idea at all man.. I was just confused by how you worded it and the fact that you basically described an aeroport.

Aaron remember my box from last year with the removable ports. I had a venturi style slot port for it. It was the loudest one.
