you can do all that, you will see a gain but it wont huge ,2-3db. (mabey)

i calculate your box to be roughly 4.2cf@ 38hz you will definaly see alot more gain if you find out the res. frequecy of you car and then build a new box and tune it near that frequency

DON answer this lol .. i am pretty sure it is built for my car and its frequency i was just using a sweep ,, my car should be 45-48 hz correct me if wrong lol DON

this box is built to the roughly the same specs as mine, only difference is being 2" wider and 1" taller to accomodate the 2nd sub, port is approx the same area as mine give or take depending on the accuracy of cuts, and my highest output is acheived using a 45 hz tone, so his should also be in that range, seeing as he has not tested it properly with a test cd im sure he'll see pretty good increases once he finds his exact freq, again based on the accuracy of the home depot guy that did the cuts

i want to be very compettive at shows .. and i dont think 143 is that yet lol ... i want to get as high as i can without using my proper hz so if i need a few extra db use my proper hz

you box is tuned higher becase a few inches makes a a differnce. you probly should have designed his box with a port a few inches shorter to account for the increase in box size. and yes if he were to have used test tones be probly would have also hit a higher number

tune higher (cars res. frequency) and higher numbers will come

don u built me a bad box i will never be in the 160s LOL ..

ahh ill try this maybe build another one down the road.

i woudnt say a bad box, just geared towards a loud daily driver as apposed to a spl moster
