Well hopefully upgrading the amp will add a couple of db's if you are doubling your power, say you are at 2000 watts now and hitting a 146, and with this amp you push 4000 watts, you will gain a definite 3 db, so 149. The only reason i brought up the box is because i have one twelve on a 200 rms phoenix amp and so far my highest spl is a 142, i am also in a cavalier, just a 2000 though. My box is one of many i have made and am planning to make a new one soon.

Yeah i do compete, its my first year but ive been involved in car audio for many years, got the chance to see the world finals a few years back with my cousin. Im planning on getting a bigger amp only 1500 rms and a much better handling sub.

As for Rex you could have just posted a new topic and someone would have responded. I would go with the infinity it will sound better. Dont know much about infinity but heard they are a good sub. Myself though i prefer kicker just not the VR series

It could be me but i find infinity to be more of an SQ sub and with kicker there more durable and will stand up to a fair beating lol
