I'm debating on whether or not to buy a BPx2200.1 amp to power 4 Image Dynamics IDMAX12 D4 V.3 woofers. My currently setup breaks 150 db even though i have stock alternator and factory replacement battery that causes my voltage to drop below 9.5 thus shutting my amps off on a truck with over 204k miles on it. Any way i am thinking about beefing my electrical system up quite a bit and buying this new Crown technology amplifier. Everything i have read about it has been good so far and it looks very very tempting. It may not put out as much power as i am running right now but it will save me some space and clean up my install a lot. (plus i may be able to sell my 3 jbl 1200.1 amps for enought to get this bad boy)I think if i add another woofer (total of 4) and grab this amp off ebay and build a much better enclosure than i will still be as loud as i am now or louder.

I just fell like i should consult the crew before i make a desision. Do any of you have experience with these amps? Please give me some feed back. Thanks.

A store near my place is selling a new Crown Gti 6000 (not sure if that is the model). You know, the huge amp that sells for like $10,000. The guy is selling if for $4000 canadian. Seems like a good deal.

i have seen the jbl 2200.1 and i have seen a Memphis MOJO and they look a lot alike. I would even say they are the same amp.

Hi Speakerman,
It is funny that you mentioned that because I was considering changing Earthquake to JBL but the problem is that the amplifier that you are referring too...doesnt seems to be working at 1 ohm. According to the specs, it appears that amplifier works much better at 4 ohms....refer to the spec of the amplifier.

Please let me know if I am missing something. I contacted JBL to get more information, nobody got back to me(3days)...is that the type of service they provide...just image sending your products for servicing.... I been looking at JBL amplifiers for about 2 month and still now sure if this amplifier would be much better than a modded D2 or D3...
