Don't have an SD8000 any more...

Upgraded to the 12k

I'm trying to get it to run at 0.5 with a roll but it's having some issues going in to protect. I need to do a bit more testing. Murilo has been great at giving me tips on setting it up and says I should be able to get it dialed in to work at that impedance but I'm just not there yet.

So, for now, I'm at 2 Ohms nominal. Battery drop is minimal when I test with 2 batteries (11.49 last time I measured) so I'm sure there's a LOT more left in there.

More runs of wire... lol

Runs of wire will not help this issue. I have a Powercell 4000 (similar to a Hawker 2150 or NSB90) right beside the amp.

(thanks for the suggestion though!)

Nice.

Some subs have a high Re to Z (averaged impedance) discordance, on those is very important to measure the impedance at the playing frequency. Anyway, an adjustment on the protect circuit is very easy if needed.
