iI have more experience with the CRX's in street class, so some of the panda guys have to step up and give some good info.

Oh Make your box out of baltic birch Plywood with as many veneer plys as possible, It is the strongest wood, and will be louder than normal MDF. I believe the panda's work best firing woofers and port upwards, with the port being huge and flared. Maybe try 15X15 inches port size to start? Oh and your frequency should be really high in the 70's to.

Live Loud
I agree with on many of the above but the birch ply...I beg to differ.

Good luck with it.

Damn really?!? Do think the mdf is stronger? Or do you recommend a completely different type of material for speaker cabinets?

I just think that there really is no difference between the two. As for the birchply holding together. Ask our eastern canadian judge how well birchply holds together as opposed to mdf.

By the sounds of it the plywood might have fallen apart once or twice?!? lol.

Ok Forget the wood in general! Lets go straight to hard plastic injection molds, or 1 inch fiberglass! What about 1/2" plate steel? Maybe even marble or granite...

That poor Panda is going to have more weight in stereo equipment and modifications that it will metal to hold itself together!

Well thank you all for the support and kind words....EVEN yours Yuli, don't worry when I get to Canada I will also get a CRX. Here are some more pics, project is fully underway, car is now gutted and ready to get into the next stage.

So can anyone suggest the box size, based on my reading I have a total box size of 2 cubic ft., with a 6" flare 4" in length, is that about right ? For 2 12s
