kyles 2010 g6 daily build log

so this is going to be a slowish build log for the most part right now
as weather is lame, and dont have a garage, and work 50 hrs a week.

heres a pic of the car taken last spring so its outdated,

subs atm are a mach 5 audio spl 12" im not sure if i will be running these, or something else it will be the last item that is chosen after the install and elec is up to par. amps are in the car atm so i dont have pics, but they are a sound digital 8k, a mb quart dsc 4125, and most likely a dsc 280. the 4125 will be bridged to push the mids, and the 280 to the tweets ran active off a alpine 9887.

electrical is a dc power 270 a alt, 3 c&d UPS12-490MR batts, and maybe a redtop up front. 2 runs of power and 2 runs for the ground 1/0 welding wire ftw.

speakers are mach 5 audio mids and seas neo tweets no set location in the doors yet. i will be also ordering some raamat bxt for the deadner, or the bquiet most likely 2 rolls.

anyway onto some pics all i have atm as everything is currently in the car.

nice.

if you are going to put 3 batts in the back you will need more power runs from the alternator to all the batteries.

really? im not doubting you but elaborate more?
and btw im not even planning on using the amps full capabilitys
maybe half it at most, so there wont be as much current pull.
and also right now i have 2 redtops at the amp right now which is hooked up
at 2 ohms and i dont drop too too bad gain all the way down no boosts or anything.
and have 2 runs of pos. so im thinking of just using 2 of the batts in the back and
throwing my third upfront instead of the redtop, i think that will be enough to back up the amp for what i want out of it now

he is correct... on a 270 amp alternator you will want more cable front to back... 1/0 cable is good for aproximately 90 amps at our lovely low voltage of 12-16 volts to minimize voltage drop, meaning you should run minimum 3 each power and ground

not much of an update really but going to be getting most of the instal acc. i neeed this weekend, includes bunch of 1/0 and 4 gau from knu koncepts for amp wiring, stinger volt gauge, ring connectors, fuses. red and black heat shrink. also this friday its payday so i can order deadner and then the last piece my second speaker amp. also hopefully this weekend i might run either the new speaker wire and power and ground wires in the car.

nicer weather so i can start running my new speaker wire and power and ground wires.

Looking good!

How are you planning on facing the box?

I have a friend here in NY who has a G6 with a pr of rear firing aq 10's and a cactus 5k touching 50's.

For some strange reason his box is tuned to 36hz but they found a second peak above 50hz.

Keep the pics coming
