What are the best box configurations L7's??

 

Big and ported with lots of power.

 

2.5 cuft ported for street spl and 3.25 cuft ported for max spl.

Kickers website has a pdf file you can d/l that will give you dimensions and specs to build your own.

 

What size L7's are you running?

 

I guess thats a better question since the sizes I said were for a 12" L7 and may not apply to his application.

 

single s12l7, 1.5 cubes 3.5 X 13 port 18" deep
good for loud,don't play deep or they will die.

 

What kind of Frequency at that size Rob?

 

it's about 50hz,great for SPL
for a street tuning(deeper,not louder)try 4"high X 4"wide X 20"long , that will tune around 35hz

 

Ive got 35" in width 16" high and i can go as deep as 17" im thinking of facing the subs up and ports back . I am also trying to decide what type of port to use. It seem everyone is srtaying away from slot port and useing those arrow ports. I also think it is in my best intrest to find my cars sweet note before i build. Oh ya im driving a 95 civic hatch and my solos ARE 12"

 

Me again , I spoke with someone down at kicker and he said go with a 1.5 cu box with 2 4" arrow ports 10" long does this seem right???
