uhuh what he said! ive heard even the 6500 doesnt like a single batter you pretty much have to have 2 just to turn the damn thing on.

thats not true at all. the only thing you gotta be able to do is feed them properly. Jordy is right that on a 16v system they perform WAY better, they are decent 12v amps. Ive used one in the past. Im having good luck with an atomic 5000d, ive used ab 500.1's also.

Not only do they accuse my friend of not running it properly. (it was at low volume and was being run with 2 x Hawker 2150's) but when he said he wanted to send it in for repairs, even if he had to pay for them, they just stopped talking to him so he could never get the info he needed to ship it.
Right now he's got a 4 day old, 7000w paperweight that he paid a LOT of money for and no one will repair it for him.
So yeah... I've been offered to try one out in my car.. but I think I'll pass. I don't want to run the risk of blowing one of them on my friends and having them end up with yet another amp that no one will do anything about.

Haven't had those for a looooong time (we're talking last summer)
but... while we had them they were "ok" at best... mostly because we had the 16v versions and we were trying to run them on a 12v/street system.
Also... we tested them when they were still fairly new and not a lot of people knew much about them. I think we could have more success with them now since we know a bit more, but I still think they'd just be "ok"...
Now.. if we were to test the 12v then who knows... but we haven't gotten our hands on any yet..
The good news is... despite running them below rated impedance and at a lower voltage than they like... they still never blew. They went in to protect a few times but never blew.
