Lets Talk Subs
I agree, power is the key. even especialy for music, without a proper amount of power you will probally make the amp distort before the sub begins to perform. my 12's on a 5k "daily" sounds amazing, hits all the notes cleanly with all the impact i want without exess noise from the moving parts. If your only giving maybe 500 watts to these subs your better off with a light duty sub that best performs on lower input power.
When you test a sub in your audio application, make sure you can provide the power and a proper enclosure for it. Otherwise, you cant possibly see its potential.

it wasnt the fact i wasn't loud on a meter.
more so the fact that 3 months after getting a recone, its blown again, and yet with my previous AQ soft parts it lasted twice as long.
it could have been user error, and in no way do i mean to talk about the TFone brand... I just expected a bit more.
still being a noob, ive only been able to get up to an L5 15" and that has been my loudest ive used thus far. lol probably nothing compared to the woofers stated previously already though. i want to try a Tfone in the future when i build up my budget again.. i wouldnt mind breaking 150!

I must agree with Bart I use one TFone 15 setup for spl in my daily driver car. I have been using it every day on 5k for month's and no breakage. It seem's to pound harder every day and ask for more...lol.. I love my TFone...
