Lokies unecessary!

Nice...
So I went to the Lethbridge show last night, fast show, kinda dissapointing at only two hours. Combined classes, and not even "Outlaw" or "Fun SPL" or "Box Wars" or even a "Bass Race" afterwards...
Anyway, I got there, and instead of Super Street 1-2 NW, he stuck me in a combined class, Streetmax, SS1-2 NW, and SS1-2.
Swell. So I ran through and qualified with a 143.6, 1.2db down from last week with the locomotive batteries. This was expected with the voltage dropping from 15.5 on the train batteries to the 14.5 my van's charging system puts out.
So then I broke out some pipe foam, duct tape, and a knife. Gave my square ports some roughly rounded "aeroports" like Aaron did, went for my next run, and got my db back, 144.8 woohoo! Good enough for a 2nd place trophy again. Had there been normal classes, a guy with a single 18 inch woofer in the back of a tiny car wouldn't have had the chance to "rob" my boy of our first first place trophy... meh...
Very nice. So now I'll work on a more permanent "aeroport" solution for my box.
Only, I wish to lower the tuning freq of my box's SQ port to 28 from it's current 35 or 36. The Orion tech dude (I wrote him about a whole new SQ box to switch my sub back & forth between the two, but I'd rather get my main box working for both with just minor alterations each time) and he said a box's freq can be dropped by making a port smaller (if you go to small though, it can get port-noisy) or, lengthen a port.
So... if you guys wanted to extend one half of your dual ported box somehow, how would you go about it? I just need some ideas...
Here's a pic of my port setup now... if I could make some sort of "box" that could attach to the port opening but remain removable for competition... would be awesome..... but how to go about it?

Ya I wouldn't mind going to real aeroports, but the box is already made... with square ports... Gettin' a round port into a square hole, well, there's gotta be a joke there somewhere...
However if I do decide to have a new SQ box built, I'll probably be calling you up for an aeroport for it, Clay.
& I do batteries, auto-electric, & electrical. I don't like working with wood, I'm not good at it, and I hated wood shop in school. Ya, the planter and shelving unit I built in school 20+ years ago are still standing today, I just didn't have any fun doing it. Gimme a wrench & multimeter to use, not a hammer & saw. So... I don't wanna have to build (or have one built) a new box if I can avoid it. I don't mind trying to Monster Garage the box's details to much (like somehow extending the port), but building the box itself just ain't my bag o' tea.
The LineX coating improved my box's output greatly, by 2-3 db probably, and improved SQ from the box so much that it went from a great sounding sub to a damn sexy sounding sub... I don't regret getting it sprayed at all. I am planning to either sand the inside of it smooth or smooth it out with resin in the future, which should improve things all the more. I've since learned more about my buddy's LineX biz, and for the next one (the Powerwheels I'm planning), I'll have them spray the inside smooth (the LineX stuff is bumpy, but they can then overcoat it with stuff for a smooth tough finish).
