well i got a Ma audio amp used from a friend.. he bought it at xscargo... and well it was rated at 800 watts max... he had it running 1800 watts ( a lil tooo much) and i had it running 1200 watts (did it real good) and i had never had problems with the thing getting hot or anything... the RCA connecters came loose once but i just tighened a screw up and they were good again.... but finanly it went on me.. after a good 3 or so years of pushin more than it was rated for.

o and the guy that had it before me really abused the thing

...i know people are going to start bitch at what i had to say and are going to say dont buy a damn thing from xs cargo.... but hell if the xs cargo store here got in more ma audio i would definatly go and buy it! ...yes there crap is referbished and it says only like 30 day warrenty but i would have to say i have had very good lucky with them, they have always replaced something if it went bad right away or even after a while, although once i had to fight for it because the dump *** said i hooked the sub straight up to the battery and it was my fault it didnt work

MA Audio, Clif Designs, Visonik. All good brands, all made by the same company, and all actually have the same boards.
All three of those teams have made it to world finals. These aren't just some crappy rip-off type equipment. They pound like hell.
My friend had two MA Audio 10"s in his probe, they weren't there high-end line. But they were so loud, you could hear him for blocks (and I'm being serious about that).
I have two 12" Clif designs high-end line subs. And they kick the hell out of my friends two 15"s (mine sealed, his ported).
I highly reccomend this brand. They are a very good company. And there ratings are very correct.
I also run MA Audio speakers, and they have yet to fail on me, even when I wrecked my Rockfords. They keep pounding and sounding nice.
If XScargo ever get's MA Audio gear back in, I will be buying.

So, how if the amp is rated according to CEA2006 guidelines to produce X number of watts (in this case we will go by your post with the peak rating of 800) can it produce 125% more power. Sorry dude, I 'm not biting.

Which is always a good reason to post model #'s. Sorts out the facts from fiction.

I think you guys are all MISUNDERSTANDING him.

Sounds like he was saying his friend was PUSHING a pair of subs rated for 1800w, not the AMP WAS PUTTING OUT 1800w. Read it again.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

yes sorry for the confusion.. i was trying to say it is rated at 800 watts PEAK and the owner before me had 2 visionik subs hooked up to it at 2 ohm tryin to pull 1800 watts PEAK from the amp..... of course the amp did not put all 1800 watts out but i wwas amazed at how well the amp handled it. and then i was saying i had 2 12" clif designs rated at 600 watts peak each and they pounded good, and a real nice clean bass too.. probably cuz they were SQ subs tho lol
