Memphis PR 15's - Opinions???
#1
I am currently running the setup in my sig :
-Premier TS-W3004spl 12" woofer
-Pioneer GMD-510M mono amp (had 1 off each coil until one died)
-Sub is in a 3 c.f. vented enclosure
I bought this sub as a daily driver that would give good SPL. So far the sub has delivered great SPL and i am quite pleased. However I am finding I want a bit more SQ oriented system rather than just solely SPL. I dont want to lose any SPL but want to gain some SQ. I was thinking about getting a pair of Memphis PR 15's in a 3.2 c.f sealed box. Would that give me similar or better spl?
I was also pondering:
- 2 PR 12's Sealed or possibly vented
or maybe 1 15 vented.
Any suggestions on what you think would be best for SQL would be helpful. Thanx guys.

They can take a lot of power, but don't need it.
They're not necessarily known for their SQ, but since SQ is subjective, try and give one a listen and see if you like it. If you do, great!
With a properly designed box, these woofers go very loud, while staying relatively linear.
Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions, or post here.
Also, keep in mind that the Memphis warranty is outstanding! We've never had a warranty claim denied, they're quick, and it's 3 years.
I'd also like to add that I'm a very proud Memphis dealer and our store wouldn't be the same without the product.
The 2 12" subs would definately have more SPL than a single 15", but it depends on a lot. The box would be the most important part of this equation.
Edit: Sorry I didn't see this topic before, I don't check the SPL section very much
