N130Gv2's 92 Grand Marquis build log
^^^ I think they keep it when you pay.O.K. for everyone else that doesn't know...
I got a ticket today on my way to work. I got charged with "Permit Sound-Loud Stereo (vehicle)"....

Like he really couldn't have given me a warning and let me go...

So I worked for free today (and half of tomorrow) in the name of SPL. Oh, and the new Ludacris CD slams.

$125 ticket.. I wonder what a second offense is? I mean, I've had a radio since I was 14 and never got a ticked till today. I guess there's a new sound bylaw in Windsor that started 2 months ago...
I've always been a full tilt all day, everyday type of guy... This sort of sucks... I don't really want another one... and I know it'll only be a matter of time. Not like they have to look. They can "hear me for blocks."

lol i havent gotten one yet the cops around here are pretty cool about it usually
your van... can be heard for quite some time away
ask them for it ive got my speeding ticket still but im fighting it haha ( theres a cop that sits on rhodes drive behind a bush... )

So what happens on the second offense? or third, forth? lol Do the fines escalate, or just the same $125 over and over? Does it affect my Insurance in any way? Can they remove points from my license?
Brantfords an even smaller town.. lol I don't know, it just sucks.
I read something in the paper today about motorcycles "A city staff report from Ann Kalinowski, manager of compliance and enforcement, advised council that city bylaw officers were unable to enforce Windsor's bylaw "if the vehicle is in motion." I wonder how they can enforce it with stereos but not bikes. I wasn't parked. I was moving, he just happened to be behind a cement wall that I was driving straight at. I'm sure it was echoing.

How do you fight something when the back of your van says "want loud?" lol
Do they drop the tickets or just lower it? I don't want to pay court fees and everything on top if I lose.

pisses me off...

just so u know, court fees are incorporated into ur ticket already...fight it, worst case u gotta pay the amount on ticket anyways, they usually lower it tho....but seems to me you got a bylaw ticket and not a motor vehicle ticket, because a cop usually hands out excessive noise or noise pollution, and its only $110.
ive been warned about that a few times(before my wall) and have never had an issue with the wall, must be the tinted windsheild
