Hey guys.

my budget is $330 for a sub, and $50 for a box which i will be making myself.

so whats the LOUDEST sub i can get.

i need to keep the box small though. i wanna keep external domensions as small as possible.

i was thinking of 2 12's or one 15.

id prefer 2 12s so the box could be kept smaller.

id say 3 cubes is the maximum size for the box.

i mainly care about all out SPL, SQ isnt too important

oh and i can pickup a pair of alpine type r 12s for $200, which is a great deal. i dunno if i should stick to that

and and i will be running it of a 2 channel amp, so if its 2 subs they will need to provide a 2 ohm load each, or if its one sub i gotta be able to wire it to 4 ohms.

if you can get 2 type r for 200$ I say take it....

so thats 330$ for all subs i assume? You could probobly grab a kicker L5 or L7 for around that price....I see you already have 1 though...

You could get a 12" IDmax at the auto show for 400... but that's a little more than your budget

the kicker 15 took up too much space

i need something that will pound equally hard, like the 15" L7, but can do so in a smaller box.

wat about these:
brahma, RE XXX, Treo SSi

i was todl that 12" brahma or XXX will pound jsut asmuch as my 15" kicker L7, but am not sure if thats true.. is it true?

If you want SPL like for competitions, stay away from the type R, if you are talking abotu SPL like sounding loud for daily driving then get them

As for what you are looking for, try to find 2 Kicker L7 10's on ebay. I have mine is 3.3 cubes before displacement and it's not too loud yet but I'm trying. I broke the 146 mark on the new TL the other day.
