i fired my hifonics brutus 1600w amp.went to the team shadow event and hit 142.00 in a 4.0 cubic foot ported enclosure.in a 96 honda civic hatchback with a borrowed amp from my buddie (kicker zx360).i wanna spend about 5-600 bucks and was lookin at the earthquake phd500.can anyone tell me if this is a good choice or is there somthing better i should look into? any suggestion appreaciated.

But I must ask, is it dual 2 or dual 4 ohm woofer?

 

I ran mine off of a MRD-M1001, but good luck finding one so go with new version MRD-M1005. 1000rms @ 2 ohm alpine. Can be had for $200 now..my buddy just got one.

Sundown 1500D will do about 900 watts at 2 ohms, and then you have extra if you wanna add another sub or change subs after.
