Unless my math skills are not what they use to be, RF must be re-inventing ohm's law.

If we assume 100% efficency.. and its cont..
30amps x 14.4 = 432 watts RMS.
for 1000w's 100% efficency, 1000/14.4 =69 amps.
thats cause the amp is a 42 volt input

42 volts x 30 amps = 1260

1000/1260 = 79.4%
</font>[/QUOTE]The poster said "this amplifier only draws 30 amps @ 14.4 volts"

if it is 42volts, then sure.. But with conflicting stories, who knows.

I would be surprized if this amp's input could be variable from 12volts to 42volts

looks like it prob. wont be allowed in DbDrag

From RF forums

The amplifier has the ability to draw only 30 amps per 1,000 watts RMS because it has a massive capacitor (about 4,000 farads) inside it to supplement power supply input

Lots of amps have had cap banks inside of them for years, open up a old Soundstream Reference 1000, there must have been at least 16 if not more in the there just for the power supply. Something new, nope.

Realize what this amp is there to do. It is a "race car to sell a street car". Look at how it got you guys talking already.
