looks like the positive buss bar touched the body or the negative one.

I almost blew the end of a wrench off once, went about 3/4 of the way through

I wrapped the positive bar with a towel, i guess a piece of solder got stuck and I didn't notice, then i hit a bunch, the solder hit both bars - sparked, and melted

Dave why would you ask if he damaged anything??? U can see he damaged the bolt

I've been to that party - now all my 1/4" ratchet handles and short crescent wrenches have heat shrinked handles. It helps
