what got killed iasca finals was the stupid location. i think everyone can agree on that.
they tried to cater to people from both sides of the continent and put the finals dead in the geographical center thinking its fair for everyone.......but thats just too damn far from either of the side LOL. this had been pointed out to by many people and we hope iasca has learnt its leason. Stick to one side of the country, the side with more shows and attandance. OR have 2 smaller finals on both coasts.

Yes it was a very bad move for IASCA, yes it is centalized but like someone said the support is on the east. Hope this helps their decision for next year. Congrats to all that made the trip. D. DaSilva nice score in stock 1. Congrats

far drive, yes, took us 34 straight hours, justin even more. this is my second year to kansas, next year will be my 3r and the 4th after that and so on and so on. finals is a site to see, the best sounding and loudest in the world. get used to it, iasca has already indicated that they are interested in the united finals in kansas again next year, which anyone, besides those that b!tch about the drive, agree is the best thing for the industry. complaining about the drive will fall on deaf ears, if you were a dedicated advocate of the industry, both in competing and supporting, you would be there and not complain about a 10, 15 or 20 hour drive.
btw justin, congrats on your world championship, you earned the right to call yourself the loudest in the world, great work

it was great. although last years finals had more people i truly belive that the devastation that happened to the south had a major role to play. that and the westernly location made it harder to competitors to commit. but that being said. here are rumors that floated around. being behind the judges table allowed me to hear some pretty interesting rumours.
sbn becoming the finals? unified finals with all three at the same time and same place? regional finals including canadian eastern and western finals? new york world finals? toronto worl finals? texas world finals?
the most intersting one is western and canadian finals and basing the east against the west in a winnepeg canadian finals? i agree on the eastern and western finals but the canadian finals is too much of a drive when regular finals are around the corner. but im sure that jeff and moe and I will have to talk and discuss a western and eastern finals.
justin is a true competitor. first year as a member and first year giving it his all.....even if i did have to coax him to run a 2nd and third run......it was all worth it in the end. congrats justin, dave and the rest of the western clan for making the long journey.
ill never get tired of hearing...."where y'all from?"

yah thats it buddy. your information about unified finals is false. iasca wants to do away with it and as soon as possible. the location killed their finals this year. i dont understand how u said its the best thing for industry.....no people at finals = no spectators = no interested for sponsors to put money into iasca = iasca go broke = no good for industry. If they want to benefit the industry and themselves as well as their competitors they will relocate where the majority of their competitors are....as sad as it is they seem to have the strongest audiance in Africa.
yah if u were a dedicated advocate of the industry.........u are either rich or an idiot my friend. This far of a drive would cost me $1000 on gas alone, plus stay, plus missed out opportunity cost of missing 2 - 3 days of work. Last year i was able to leave on friday afternoon and make it back home by sunday late nite.....this year that was not possible. I dont know maybe u owne a shop or something and feel obligated to go to finals this far but for me, and apperantly nearly everyone else, a plastic trophy is simply not woth $2000. I was planing to go to iasca finals and compete this year but after they pulled this stunt i took half of that $2000 and spend it on my trip to DB DRAG finals instead.......it actually had competitors there. I had more fun there spectating and talking to people then i would probably have competing at iasca with 21 competitors.
i do not understand your logic. All you said that we all should drive for 20 hours b/c SOMEHOW it's good for the industry??? which industry? the petrolium industry?
MOE BRING FINALS EAST
