ORION Car Audio
hahahaha. Orion is good stuff BUT if you are wanting to do an all out SPL system it is not the way to go. if you are dead set on Orion their 2500Ds are very nice amps but I would never get an Orion sub to use for SPL. The H2 is not really an SPL woofer I would definately get something like a DD 99 or 95 series, Shocker super extreme or sig, Rockford Fosgate TRF, Resonant Engineering MT or MMATS Juggernaut...some of which are probobly around the price of an H2
If you are going for a pure SPL system I would look at the drivers that Shocking suggested over the H2. The H2 is a great sub that can take lots of power, have excellent sound quality, and still get loud in the lanes but it will get beat in the lanes by many others better suited for SPL. For a daily/loud sub though I would go with the H2 (and I did) over the others as it does sound much better.
Box size is going to be of concern to you also unless you are doing a cut through. This may limit some choices in drivers also.

I have been very impressed with the orion gear I have com ein contact with, but I find it to be a little overpriced, especially at near-retail prices. If you can find some used orion stuff though, that would be a good way to go. My friend payed over $2000 for his 2500d, and he ended up being more impressed by amps I bought for less than half the price brand new. I would look at some of the subs shocking suggested as well if you are going for SPL.

The DD 95 series is not a bad sounding woofer. probobly not as good as an H2 for sound quality but a heck of alot better for SPL. It is true that at 2000 for a 2500D you are paying alot but I would guess that sounddomain sells them and if you get sounddomain to price match another internet retailer who may be less than reputable you can get a pretty sweet deal and still be able to trust the person you are getting it from
