q factor control for burps

q factor control for burps
The amp we have (riprock500d/ mojo2k) has a adjustment for qfactor. I have done some reading and I think I understand its basic use
I found this handy page on JL audios site.

Only problem is, our amp has no bass boost or anything similar
Since the mojo doesnt have boost, i wanted to know how would it would work with my amp?
The best I can think of , is that if I narrow the output from the LP and subsonic, to say 10hz on either side of my burp frequency, then it may increase the output in that selected range?
I'm not sure on that though Any advice guys?

Sounds about right. If the amp isn't spending it's available power amplifying frequencies you don't need for your burp, you could assume it would have more potential to put into your specific frequency. Make your slope as narrow as possible and centre it right at your chosen point.

Maybe the guys that used this stuff in the past are geriatric now.
I'll let you know what I hit next time we're on a TL
