okay this will be my first year ever actually competing with a stereo and this is the class im going to run in, i just have one question really, when it says

"Contestants must play music when competing. Test tones (or songs containing test tones) are prohibited."

Does this mean i am not allowed to use a 10hz sweep?

sweeps consist of test tones. you must play music, as in with bass and trebble.

 

ah crap... ok so that would probably mean non of the bass race songs either.... DAMMIT! now im gonna have to start listening to hip hop again hahahaha

bass race songs are allowed because it is a song and i would not use burned CD's

 

If you know what frequency your car car likes try to find a song with that note. Also if you have a highly tuned box you have to be carefull. playing 30hz at full volume in a box tuned to 55hz could leave the speaker cone sitting on your back seat

 

norm im gonna get the real discs and all that crap that comes with it... like stickers!!!! hahahaha and yeah im gonna run street stock a it'll fit the best im also gonna start on the second box soon so im going to need some 4" aero ports..

Micardio - That was my plan, to find what freq does best then try to find a song with a good match in it. it doesnt have to be for to long just long enough to get a score up, my current box is daily driver so its pretty safe with everything, plus the subsonic cut off on my amp will cut everything lower then up to 55hz so i should be able to make it fairly safe.

Everything lower than 55hz is cut off??? That's where all the good stuff is! 55hz is high...

 

I think he means "up to 55hz." Most subsonics are 20-50hz or so.

 

yeah what he said hahahah i can set it to not play anything lower then 55 so the sub will be safe in a box tuned high
