Question From The Experts

Ok i'm very n00b when it comes down to these things but i would like to start somewhere i currently have

2 Kenwood KAC-7204 powering 2 Kenwood KFCW3011 ,
the amps are 500 RMS each making it a toall of 1000RMS in a bassworx ported but ... i would like to know with this setup i have right now , how much SPL am i looking at ? roughly just so i have an idea...

I do have plan on upgrading in the future how ever i do not know what exacly is out there ! my budget is around $1500

So whats the best bang for the buck i guess and also with the current setup how much SPL am i pushing ?

wrong car for SPL. It's very hard to get those car's loud because the sound deadening in the rear seat is simply too well done.

theres a show coming up on the 28th in etobicoke, you can find out exactly what spl you have, and get tips on improving it as well!

It is going to be all about the box first and foremost. The box will make or break the output of the subs. After that a proven perfomer in the SPL circle is the Digital Designs subs, look at the DD2512 or DD3512 at DDAudio Digital Designs Speakers Made in the USA, then apply a healthy does of power and away you have your start of what will become months of learning. There are some damn cheap deals I posted in the vendor section, Forbidden Audio, you snooze, you lose deals.

Man i had two Kicker L7 12's in my 2003 M5 and it was loud but i also got a port cut in the heat sink so the air can flow , made a lot of difference and i mean A LOT. I was running 1800 RMS on those subs in a nicely built box , it was so loud people in the rear couldnt sit for long with the bass turned up lol. I think u can do alot with your BMW since its a 3 Series . But kenwoods for beginners is still not good enough. If you have 1500$ to spend then i think you can get something out of your car.
