RE vs DD
#1
In a toss up right now. Gonna be puttin 2 10's in the stang, hooked to a 200dhc digital.
Now I guess the question in hand is, which would be the better set for my application. The subs are the RE SX10, or the DD3510d. The RE's are slighty more cost effective, but if the DD's are that much better then cost wouldn't be an issue.
Also, I have been doin some research on the 200dhc, and it is 2 ohm stable, but many places have stated that they can run at 1 ohm, if an internal fuse is changed from 20 amp to 30 amp. If this is true, it will make a difference in which load configuration I get for subs.
Any input from experiences users, would be of great help.

I've ran a single DD3512c and was very impressed! I was almost about to get my hands on a 2nd one but then I up and went for a XXX18
I've never heard a 10"SX but considering the brands I'm sure you'd be quite impressed with either woofers you buy. I'd say get two dual 4ohm ones and make a nice ported box for 'em.

I'd go for the RE's but get the dual 1's as they dont make a dual 4, you'll just have to run each sub series... then parrallel the two subs together for 1 ohm load... assuming you are correct with what you have heard about the amp

I'm partial to DD so I would choose it.
They will both work well.
I would make the decision based opun availability and customer service.
And being from Wainwright you can order either DD's from FX Audio in Edmonton or RE from Custom Car and Sound in Cranbrook BC (just inside BC).
Is there any Albertan RE dealers?

ok first of all why would u get 200dhc amps? they are like 10 years old now? dont run those at below 2 ohms unless u want to smoke them. the internal fuse does not change anything, it only allows more current to be put to the sub, dirty current at that.
you asked which one is better for your application..........what exactly is your application??? besides saying what amp u have u havent mentioned anything else.

and that only means that keyur's box could have been peaked out before reaching either of the sub's full potential......
these subs do not do the same number in my box.....

Second, My application will be for SPL, with a bit of SQ. I will be able to run about 2.5 cube box, ported. And I am goin to try to make it a tunable port, yet keeping it somewhat cosmetically appealing.
