Don't you want to tune the box ~10 Hz lower than your res frequency? </font>[/QUOTE]weird things sometimes happen... ive also found porting your enclosure 2-3 Hz above your peak frequency works well in some applications...check out the impedance curve

I am gonna find out what the res. freq of my explorer is, but from what people are sayin in here, its almost useless. Ive heard everyhting now from -10 to +3Hz from the res freq. The box I'm building is a one shot deal, once its built there's gonna be no changing things around cuz its not coming out once its in....

And you tuned the box ~6-7Hz lower? I know it wont produce the same results for mine, but its gotta be close since mine is a '93 2-door.

yeha it wil be close.. you have a little different body style? but yeah bsaicly he same.. neyway, yeah my loudest box tuned to 44-45hz... and burped at 51-52, depeneding on where the box was, and whcih way facing and stuff in the vehicle.

now in my crx, my box was tuned at like 58-59, and burped at 63 for best results...

What did you find was the best way to face the subs. The was someone on explorerforum who has built quite a few boxes and found that facing them up was the best. Just curious, the box I'm building has them facing up.
