Hi there, does anyone know anything about this sub, i tried googling it but didnt get much responses. Im thinking of purchasing this for a loud spl setup in my car. Is RE a good brand name? and will one 15" be enough to shake my car?

1 15" will do it in most cases, how much power do you have to work with? and what vehicle is it going in?

RE Audio subs are pretty good man or can go with Hifonics 15 inch 6000Watt sub dude here in Australia made 150Db with one powered by 2 1700Watt Signat Amps

 

Designed to be a good SQ driver with very good low bass output. Not the best in the lanes as a true SPL only sub but for daily bumping and ground pounding a very capable driver. Yes a single HC15 with 1000-1500rms in the correct ported enclosure will easily shake the panels on your car.

Rated at 1200rms they were good for daily up to ~1500rms with no problems. Xmax was in the 25mm range. Works well in both sealed and ported enclosure's although it really did excel when ported.

Recommended enclosure's by user's including myself:

3.0@35Hz = very accurate with good SPL abilities
3.5@35Hz = very accurate with good/great SPL abilities
4.0-4.5@37Hz = excellent SPL abilities with the tradeoff of soem boominess

Use ~50sq.in. of port area.

 

allright well considiring this i think i will pass, i want something that will produce alot of spl bass not sq. BUt at the same time i would like to be able to listen to songs on it now and then.. im new to spl field, what kind of brand do you reccomend? Digital Desings any good?

 

A DD3512 is a sub that you should definitely look at if the goal is to get loud.

 

if u lookin for a nice 15 get the DD 9515

 

oh okay thanks i'll look into it, theres hardly any stores that sell SPL subs, anyone know of anywhere in the GTA? ALso, should I stay away from Resonant Engineering all together, or look for a higher model?
