Rockford Fosgate 800s or 800a2?
Two older amps for good prices on eBay.
Is one of those models better than the other?

Both are solid performers. The a2 is older but IMO is a better unit (based on noise issues I've seen with more than a few s-models and the abuse I've seen many a a2 take and keep on ticking).

Exactly what type of noise issues are you referring to?

If I end up getting an S model on a better deal than an A, I want to know what to be aware of.
