You won't be smoking anyone with that Volvo... no matter what equipment you put in there

(unless you go Extreme.... Alan Dante seems to do well with a Volvo)

I figured it would do well I can fit a single 12 between the seats a huge box filling the total trunk and port from the deck.See the thing is if I go this way there will be no trunk it will be as the back of the car is a huge box and between the two rear seat will be where the sub sits(my volvo came with a gap between the seats to the trunk that is mint for a 12" to fit between the rear passangers).

If I do take the back seats out I will do a wall from the rear of the front seats back.I think it would be fun to do that and sit in the front spraying the whole back of the car in chopmat,Doors ,windows and every thing else.

i am not understanding your english.

do you want to hit a specific number, regardless of which class you are in or how well you do in that particular class?
OR

do you want to be competative in a specific class?

like Jordy said, with a car like that you probably would not do very well in any class, especially if the stereo stays in the trunk. might do OK if you build a wall but then you'd need to hit some seriouse numbers cuz a wall class is fairly loud.

what i think you need to do is come out to a few comps first, just to see what is being done and what kind of numbers are being produced. I think you need a better idea of how SPL is done before you finalize your decision and begin your build.

be competative in a specific class my good man but I have had numbers in my head but its no big deal if I go lower or higher then the numbers(mid 150`s).And if I stay the way I have figured so far my system will be somewhat in the trunk if you count MDF and fibreglass a system.

See the way my rear seats are my box face(where the sub sits).Sub is flush with my rear seats in plain veiw with no modding to be done.If you need a picture I can set a sub in the spot and snap a picture to give you an idea.

See I know I don`t want to be in extreme or classes like that.(would be like me taking my 9sec 5500lbs truck against a 2800 lbs 6sec car)

I will use no more then two 12`s if I change from one 12 to two 12`s then my box will be smaller and one massive port where my single sub would have sat and the 12`s in the rear deck.

The two options here the box and setup will be like it is a wall but with back rest of the seats on part of the wall

If a picture would help I can show you with placments or I can even do a video and maybe explaine things a bit better

both ways the trunk will share no air with the car,sub face or ports faces as if it was a wall

i guess now you need to pick a class in which you'd like to be competative and build according to the rules.

i know what you mean about the seats and the box and where the sub goes. im just saying, a set up like that wont really be too competative. might break 150, but that wont get you in top 3 in street classes, even locally.

trust me, just come to a few show to gather a better understanding of it all.

Is there any big reason this car wont do well.I can`t get it to flex with 5cf box and single AB200.1@0.5ohms@15V from a single 9912.I figured as it was solid like this it would do well as the pressure stays high

the car can do well, but your not gonna get it on the first try

when I first started off with my jetta I was doing 143's with 1 12"... It took me a year to get it over 150. That was with one dd 9512 and 2 200.1's strapped @ 0.7 in strret a

same went with my new car... and now, well just look at my stats

Ok I take it you are talking trial and error on building the box right,Tune right, right placment and things like that right not major mods to the equipment and car.
