which setup will be louder?

today i was driving to work and was playing my sub, all of the sudden i hear a weird flapping noise and no bass, then my amp turns off completly. i get to work, and see that the inline fuse is blown. then i open my trunk and find this
(crappy cell phone pictures)
the amp i have is a clarion DPX11500
Clarion U.S.A. | DPX11500
and i set the gain using a multymeter
the coil seems fine, and sub still seems to move ok but no sound comes out of it. the multymeter reads exactly 4 ohms on each coil.
so what do you guys think i could use to repair it.the material that couvers the fiberglass is a really dense foam so i think some glues could eat through it.
or maybe i could get a recone to fit in there because i dont think clarion makes recones for their subs

the box is 2 cubic feet, ill try using the goop on the dust cap.but i was looking at the sub and i noticed that the spider came off as well, and the tinsel leads look like the were starting to tear. i dont know if the goop is going to work on it, im going to order some speaker glue and try that.
