Skipping Deck- too loud?

Well i just beefed up my electrical system quite a bit and now i can actually turn my system up without shutting everything down. [img]smile.gif[/img] But now with the addition of my rear-view mirror folding down when i turn it up, the door lock that just broke somehow, and my back glass starting to fall out. My Brand new ALPINE CDA-9835 skips at high spl levels. 
I have never heard of anybody being able to help this very much. But i am open for suggestions. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] I was thinking about laying dynamat on the HU chassis but then quickly realized that may be a stupid idea that could lead to overheating and frying my deck. Help me out here. This is just another one of those anoying things. [img]graemlins/banghead.gif[/img]

Ive come into problems with skipping decks if it is installed "TOO TIGHT" in the dash... and all the vibration is forced into it...for some reason anytime that happens I reroute some of the wires behind the deck to allow it a very very slight motion and it solves the problem...try it..works well on ALPINE decks...

are u in competition when this happens or just everyday driving?
i ran 10 awg power/ground for mine. worked for everyday driving but when in competition, i actually had to take my deck out and hold it. (some people just route new wires to the exterior of the vehicle but im too lasy to do that)

well when i'm just cruisin around listening at a reasonable level its fine, but even when i turn it up on just a hard hitting alternative song or something it will skip very bad. When i compete i take mine out and hold it in my lap yes. I don't wanna go throught the trouble to run new wires so i think i may just live with it and not listen to 150db everyday to school and back haha.

i find dampening the deck helps
i first hold it in my hands to determine if its the unit ,or vibration
i have found that slidding cardboard between the sleeve and the deck on all 4 side as well as foam on the rear usually fixes the problem
