So tonight being a nice night out I decided to pull my Street A box out and drop in a couple of these XS Cargo RockBox 10's I picked up...you know...see how they sound...break em in a little...

So I get a sub out and decide to size em side by side....I think they look pretty close in size....but we will see what they can do....

I get as far as the third screw on the first sub and come to a conclusion...

Trying to do this with a manual screwdriver SUX!!
I've lost the power adaptor for my wimpy screwgun...I was kind hoping that the holes would line up....Wrong...and here's the result...(not as bad as it looks, its just a trim peice clued to the outer basket lip)..

So I will be without subs til I can either buy a new gun or borrow one...GRRRR
!!

I'll keep ya posted as things sooner or later happen....

Well...They are DVC's so I'm hoping that will make at least a little difference in the life of them...

Chances are I will just wait til I do my build and then run em....I found they are a touch smaller than the Pioneer's..about 1/8" total cone area including the surround...So logically,I need to make a new front baffle for this box to fit em...Not worth it when a few monthes from now I'll be ripping it all apart anyway...

But,I'll keep ya'll posted...with pics...

Wimp. I've built every single one of my boxes, and put in and taken out subs every single time with a good ol' screwdriver. Just call me Popeye

Ahhh I sold out about a month ago though. I bought a cordless drill for 40 bucks. It really is amazing how much faster it is rather than using my corded drill to drill/screw. Things go much faster now. 'Twas fun while it lasted
