So tonight I did some more little things to get things going...

I modified one of two ring connectors so as to allow me to run the 2/0 cable direct to the amp bypassing the use of a bus bar.Seen below is a pic of what I started with and the semi-end result.I still need to do a tiny bit of trim work on the one and do up the other, but so far so good I think...



I also got my MEGA fuses today so I did some very slight mod's to the holder so as to allow the 2/0 ring terminals fit...Sorry the pic is so crappy, but I'm sure you can get a good idea...

We finally got the last run if cable done...Thanks so much to Clay from "The A Team" for all his work and climbing abilities...

Got everything running.....time for testing...Thats where things get a little crazy....

Remember......A HardCore RipRock on 2 Pioneer SVC 700 watt subs....What do think really happened?

Well to be honest,for quite a while they held up pretty good.We kept hearing all sorts of odd noises from the back end of the car...I initaly thought it to be dirt in the bumper thats been there as long as I've owned the car....I now believe it was the subs crying for dear mercy!!

The best we could get out of the thing was a low 140 db.I think because subs were clipping,settings were off,etc....Here's the end result...



We all heard this loud "POP" and then nothing...I knew that was the end....

We opened the trunk to find I had LAUNCHED...And I mean LAUNCHED a dustcap!!Freakin' cool man!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

So after a lengthy photo shoot by several(BTW..Feel free to post any pics of the install you might have or email em to me and I'll post em)we decided to have a little more fun...



What you see in the box is a monsterous 5.25" Pyramid 100 watt 2 way speaker(second one was already disconneted as of this pic)hooked up to...You guessed it...The RipRock!!

I ran it at 30hz gradually bring the volume up.All told I think we got about 10 seconds out of em til one let out a nice orange spark and the other commited suicide...Good Times!!

Anyway....Its 3:30 am...I still have to redo my front stage amp and some other stuff tommorow...err later today...
